On Sunday, March 24, 2013, we begin again the series of Lenten Vespers in Buffalo Metropolitan Area. This beautiful tradition has bee established a few years ago and consists of celebrating Sunday Lenten Vespers in number of Christian Orthodox Churches (see the schedule bellow) followed by a modest Lenten meal during which a presentation is made on various topics. This year’s theme for the presentations is Old Testament readings/books used in Orthodox Church during the time of Great Fast/Lent.
Pan-Orthodox Choir under the direction of Fr. Rastko Trbuhovich leads the congregation in prayerful signing during the Lenten Vespers.
Bellow is the schedule of the upcoming Lenten Vespers. Every one is welcomed to attend!

Last Sunday, April 1, 2012, we have concluded this year’s Lenten Vespers with a celebration at Saint Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church in Lakawanna NY. This year’s Lenten Vespers attracted about 80 faithful “followers”.
The Lenten Vespers at each of the orthodox parishes were accompanied by the magnificent signing led by the Pan Orthodox Choir of Niagara Frontier under the direction of Father Rastko Trbuhovich, the rector of Saint Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church.
Bellow are the experts from yesterday celebration. Unfortunately my camera doesn’t do well in the low light conditions, but I am sure you can appreciate the signing and may be encouraged to attend the future Pan Orthodx events and celebrations.
On Sunday March 18, our Church is hosting the Pan-Orthodox Leten Vespers. The Vespers will begin at 5:00PM. The Sunday Lenten Vespers have been celebrated in our area for many years and has become a “Lenten tradition” for many Orthodox Christian. You can see the full schedule of the Lenten Pan-Orthodox Vespers here. The Pan-Orthodox Choir of Buffalo and Greater Niagara region will sing the responses. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Orthodox faith and to socialize with each other.
Our parish is delighted and grateful for the opportunity to host the Lenten Vespers again in our church.
Join us for Pan-Orthodox Lenten Vespers. Following the Vespers there will be a reception at the parish hall featuring Lenten dishes and deserts. Remember to invite a friend! If you are a Facebook user please help us to spread the word about the Pan-Orthodox Lenten Vespers at Saints Peter and Paul.
